Amazing panoramas open up from Parnidzio dune: southwards – the great Lithuanian Sahara blinding by the light and shadows on the “travelling dunes”, northwards – the green emerald of the dunes, while at the foot, at the very amphitheatre – Nida settlement characterized by red-tiled roofs.
Bulvikis horn

This is the widest spot of the Curonian peninsula of 3,8 km wide. People believe that name of the cape and the neighboring lagoon originates from the Curonian surname Bulvikis. Before the great dunes were planted with forest, the Bulvikis Cape has been growing at an extreme speed: in 1837–1910 it would annually become longer by in average 7 m. Now we observe the reverse process – the cape is washed by the stream.
Vecekrugas dune

Vecekrugas Dune (the Old Inn Hill) is the highest dune in the Kuršių nerija National Park – 67,2 m. The name of the dune originates from the Curonian vece – old and kruogs – inn, reminiscent of the inn that used to be at the foot of the dune. The entire dune is overgrown with the dwarf mountain-pines (Pinus mugo Turra). The Vecekrugas Hill and the surroundings thereof are announced to be the Karvaičiai Landscape Reserve, the area of which is 3 043 ha.
